Church Guides
St James' Church Guides, together with volunteers who staff the church Book and Gift Shop and Coffee Shop, make up a team of about 100 people who offer the Welcome Ministry to visitors. Their aim is to keep our beautiful church open for as long as possible to the many visitors who come to Louth throughout the year.
The Guides themselves are a main team of 18 who undertake a weekly rota of 1½ / 2 hours each. They are supported by a team of Reserve Guides who help out when absences occur. Guides are on duty Mondays to Saturdays inclusive, 10:30am to 4:00pm, from Easter until late October (whilst the book shop and coffee shop continue to support the Charity Christmas Card shop up to the week before Christmas).
