Opening Times for Visitors

The Parish Church of St James' is open at the following times in addition to the regular Sunday and weekday services.

Church open to visitors

From Easter Monday St James' Church will once again be opening its doors to visitors throughout the week. From 10:30am until 4:00pm Monday to Saturday visitors will be able to talk to the guides about the history of the building and its people throughout the centuries, browse through a wide range of books, cards and gifts from the shop, enjoy some refreshment from the coffee shop with some of the best views in the area or climb up the tower for some even better views. But it should not be forgotten that St James' Church continues to minister to the spiritual needs of Louth and so St Stephen's Chapel, which now has wheelchair access, is available for those who need some peace and quiet; there are aids to reflection and prayer should they be required.
