St Stephen's Chapel
St Stephen's chapel, situated in the southeast corner of the church and now with wheelchair access, is set aside for reflection and personal prayer. In the chapel there are resources which people can use to help them in their praying. Amongst these are Bibles, prayers on laminated card suitable for particular situations or occasions, and a leaflet of prayers to be used and/or taken away.
It is also possible to light a votive candle. This can be helpful in focussing thoughts and prayers about people and situations. The flame continues to burn with your prayers and thoughts after you leave. There is also an 'intercession box'. Visitors can write down prayer requests and place them in the box. The church community will pray those prayers at the Tuesday and Thursday services.
