Team Parish of Louth

Louth is a working market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It has a Georgian heart and many attractive buildings. There is a street market every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, a Farmers' Market once a month and a cattle market on Tuesdays. The population is around 15000 with a considerable amount of new building going on.

The parish church of St James, Louth, is part of the Team Parish of Louth comprising the whole of the town of Louth and the villages of South Elkington, Welton-le-Wold, Keddington and Stewton. In addition to the parish church there are two other churches in the town - St Michael and All Angels and Holy Trinity - plus All Saints Church, South Elkington, St Martin's Welton-le-Wold and St Andrew Stewton.

The Team Parish was formed in 1974. In addition to Canon Stephen Holdaway, the Team Rector, there is the Team Vicar, The Reverend Lorraine Turner, and a Parish Community Worker, Peta Hill. The team members can be contacted through the Parish Office.
